Path To Creativity

Click on a path to Creativity. The Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts guides the way in providing artistic and cultural experiences to the residents, visitors and children of community. A strong foundation through the support of our membership, business, and partnerships serves as a bedrock for continued development of arts in our region. The Arts Center is dedicated to improving the quality of life by taking a leadership role in promoting the arts. Believing that the arts are vital to cultural fulfillment, the community looks to us to provide artistic opportunities for enrichment of all our residents. Art accessibility is the key. The slogan we use is "Arts Are For Everyone." Art transcends barriers caused by differences in language, lifestyles, and culture.

The Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts is a place to create, experience and live the arts. Our mission simply states: To provide opportunities to create and enjoy the arts.

The Center for the Arts provides an array of programs in the Arts for people of all ages. Classes are offered for the beginning to advanced student in dance, visual arts, ceramic arts, piano, guitar, voice, theater, silversmithing, plus a variety of workshops and more!

Every one to two months, the Center for the Arts features new exhibits of local, national, and international artists, in a variety of art forms. Two thousand people visit the gallery each year.

We present special events throughout the year, such as musical performances, student recitals, arts and crafts festivals, culinary arts festivals, multiple kids' activities, plays, and more. In the spring, we host Dancers Dancing, a performance which features young dance students from our classes. "Valley Kids" is an art exhibit displaying the work of school children from Aspen to Rifle.

We encourage everyone to be a member at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. Membership entitles the bearer discounts on classes, facility use fees, concerts, and other special events. Members receive the Center's monthly newsletter to stay informed of Center happenings. Our membership roster includes over 1,100 members.

Our facility is available to rent for arts-related purposes, birthday parties, weddings, meetings and other special events.

Center hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and weekends, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
